Program Officer for Family Economic Security and Expanding Equity assigned to Battle Creek, MI (headquarters)/Hybrid option

The FES Program Officer will work in partnership with colleagues across the foundation, philanthropy, and the field to invest in opportunities to advance economic mobility and economic security for working families. WKKF Program Officers are responsible for identifying and nurturing opportunities for affecting positive policy and systems change and executing investments and partnerships that are aligned with the foundation’s strategic priorities. The Program Officer will also provide overall leadership for broadening and strengthening the foundation’s engagement with the private sector, focused on helping to scale the Expanding Equity program, grow its network of companies, and expand their reach and influence. They will work closely with programming staff on the national team and in the foundation’s priority places to ensure integration and coordination of private sector, Expanding Equity, and FES efforts.

Education/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to issue area is required and an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ work experience in field(s) relevant to assigned responsibilities with 10+ years’ experience preferred along with strong networks and contacts.
  • Track record of successfully developing and leading initiatives and others within highly collaborative organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading and driving projects and campaigns that have a measurable impact.
  • Strong networks, and the ability to execute partnerships and build consensus that bridge differences and align objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively on equity issues and with persons from diverse backgrounds.

How to Apply

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS: Approximately 10-25 percent travel time required; varies according to work assignments.

SALARY INFORMATION: The salary range is $128,800 – $177,200. Actual starting salary of candidate will be commensurate with years, breadth, and depth of relevant experience, education, certifications, credentials, special skills, accomplishments and other factors relevant to the position.
