Listen Live: WKKF announces historic support for Battle Creek Public Schools

BATTLE CREEK, Michigan – Join the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) at 9:15 a.m. ET Friday, May 5, as we stream live from Battle Creek Central High School exciting details about WKKF’s historic investment in Battle Creek Public Schools (BCPS).

A community’s greatest asset is its young people. Earlier this year, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation announced a bold commitment to ensure that all Battle Creek Public School (BCPS) students achieve academic success.

The foundation made a public commitment to BCPS students earlier this year after a New York University study of the community’s education system unearthed significant disinvestments in BCPS, which compared to surrounding districts have higher needs and lower access. These inequities are rooted in decades of racial segregation. The study was commissioned by BCVision, which is a community-led effort to transform Battle Creek into a thriving community.

This special event will be livestreamed both on our Facebook page and on Instagram. Battle Creek residents are encouraged to attend in person at Battle Creek Central High School, located at 100 W. Van Buren St., Battle Creek, Michigan 49017.
