W.K. Kellogg Foundation to shine spotlight on early education during NBC News’ Education Nation

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation is proud to support NBC News’ Education Nation and will be shining a spotlight on the importance of early childhood education during the 2012 Summit at the New York Public Library, which starts Sunday, Sept. 23, and concludes on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

This year’s Education Nation Summit will highlight 10 promising education solutions and in addition, a number of WKKF leaders and grantees will be featured during the three-day event, including WKKF President and CEO Sterling K. Sperin, Vice President for Program Strategy Carla D. Thompson, and the presidents of WKKF grantees Ounce of Prevention Fund, AVANCE, Harlem Children’s Zone and The Aspen Institute.

We hope you will tune into NBC News or watch the summit online on www.EducationNation.com and join the conversation on Facebook by “liking” the Education Nation and WKKF’s GR8by8 pages. You can also follow and participate in the discussions in real-time via Twitter @WK_Kellogg_Fdn and @EducationNation using the hashtags #educatedkids and #EducationNation.

And stay tuned – on Monday, Sept. 24, WKKF will release a new infographic on the power of early learning on our Education Nation page on WKKF.org.
