BATTLE CREEK, MICH. – The W.K. Kellogg Foundation today announced the launch of Michigan Nightlight, an online source of solutions, news and inspiration for those who are working to positively impact the lives of Michigan children.
Published by Detroit-based Issue Media Group – and made possible through funding from the foundation – the goal of Michigan Nightlight is to spotlight successes in improving outcomes for vulnerable children. Michigan Nightlight also will share the visions and viewpoints of the state’s most effective nonprofit leaders.
“Michigan Nightlight profiles area programs and leaders; encouraging readers to ponder change, take action, make a connection, question a norm, learn from fellow professionals, or applaud the good work being done in our state,” said Paul Schutt, publisher and co-founder, Issue Media Group.
The Michigan Nightlight will shine a light on some very impressive, necessary and innovative work. Through this publication, both the Kellogg Foundation and Issue Media Group hope to bring attention to the needs of Michigan’s children and share solutions that Michigan communities are cultivating.
