The segment was part of a weeklong national focus on education issues by the cable channel and Ebony Magazine titled “Making the Grade”, which culminates in a two-hour live special this Sunday, August 15 (12-2 pm EDT) featuring Sharlonda Buckman with the Detroit Parent Network, a Kellogg Foundation grantee working to expand the parent resource centers in Detroit Public Schools.
