IOM report claims that local action is pivotal for keeping kids healthy

The Institute of Medicine just released a report that explains how local government and community action can help “prevent childhood obesity.” Their recommendations for “Healthy Eating” and “Increasing Physical Activity” are playing out today in communities across the nation who are participating in the Kellogg Foundation’s Food and Fitness initiative.
