Summit on Children, Health and Food Held in Boston

The Northeast Summit on Children, Health and Food Systems was held July 31st in Boston to inform policy makers about food, children and health issues and to raise awareness and build support for policies that can create systemic improvements in child nutrition programs and infrastructure.  

Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino invited some 47 Mayors, 17 members of Congress and numerous regional and national community partners to attend the summit and to address efforts that are critical to the nutrition, health, growth and development of very young and school-aged children.
