Eight Communities Announced for Health Through Action program

The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, a grantee and partner of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, announced the selection of eight communities from across the US to receive four-year grants as part of the Health Through Action: For Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AA, NH, PI). As part of this $16.5 million multi-year project, Health Through Action will improve the health of vulnerable children and families by addressing the health disparities that exist among the Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.

The primary focus of this effort is to strengthen and capitalize on community capacity and assets to meet local health needs in these communities. Health Through Action will also work towards public policy that supports safe, healthy, and socially just communities for all AA’s, NH’s, and PI’s through partnerships, leadership development, data analysis and strategic communications.
