Rural households earn less, pay more for gas

Rural people are feeling the pinch at the gas station more than their urban counterparts, according to a new study. The reasons are many, including the lower national average income for rural households, the fact that rural people tend to have to drive further to and from work, and the lack of a public transportation option in most small towns.
