(November 2006) The Health Policy Institute of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies released a report from the Dellums Commission outlining broad policy recommendations for improving life options for young men of color.
A Way Out: Creating Partners for our Nation’s Prosperity by Expanding Life Paths of Young Men of Color illustrates the obstacles that young men of color face trying to succeed in America today, and highlights “misguided public policies” that contribute to these challenges.
In addition, the Health Policy Institute will launch a pilot program to work with local, state and federal governments to implement policy changes, and to recruit a massive response to create employment, educational and cultural opportunities for these young men.
