Natural disasters can destroy and shut down communities, as it did in Montserrat in the mid-90s. Schools, health systems, leadership, and the economy all became ineffective. With lessons learned from the Turning Point initiative, the Caribbean island of Montserrat has redefined and rebuilt its community infrastructure to promote individual, family, community, and public health.
