The Roots of Change (ROC) Fund is delighted to announce that food systems innovator Michael Dimock has joined its team as Executive Director. Michael will guide our statewide organization‘s effort to build private, public, and independent sector support for The New Mainstream, a vision for moving California towards sustainable food and farming systems by the year 2030, and a plan to engage citizens in the evolution of the vision.

Founded in 2003, the Roots of Change Fund is a foundation collaborative of seven contributing local and national funders. The ROC Fund is governed by a group of expert advisors – the Roots of Change Council – who guide the strategic direction of the Fund.

Michael comes to the Roots of Change from Ag Innovations Network, a statewide nonprofit that he founded in 1992 and he directed for the past 14 years. Ag Innovations works with farmers, ranchers, environmentalists, and communities to design local strategies to preserve agriculture and the environment. He has also served on the boards of Slow Food USA, Slow Food International, Community Alliance with Family Farmers, and the Sonoma County Food and Wine Center.
