Secretary Johanns recognizes times are changing and 2002 Farm Bill should be revisited


After embarking on a cross country listening tour, Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns believe that the 2002 Farm Bill was the “right policy for the economic conditions at the time” but recognizes that “times are changing.” Across the country, farmers voiced unanimous support for rural development and conservation efforts, but mixed opinions about farm support programs.
