Search Institute’s eighth annual conference for youth and adults of different backgrounds, nationally and internationally, who share a common goal: to work together to create healthy communities for children and youth through asset building. This one-of-a-kind intergenerational event attracts approximately 1,500 people who want to learn, connect, renew, and be equipped to become asset champions and community change leaders. The 2004 Healthy Communities/Healthy Youth (HC-HY) Conference with its theme, Assets in Action – Making a Difference, underscores the accomplishments, outcomes, new ideas, change strategies, best practices, and research findings that stem from a decade of asset building efforts.
