Three Grantees Receive Awards

Three projects supported by the Kellogg Foundation were honored with the Efficiency Prize, one of the most important acknowledgments for the third sector in Brazil. The three prizewinners were the Children’s Rights News Agency (ANDI), the Small-Scale Farmers’ Association from the Municipality of Valente (APAEB), in the state of Bahia, and the Committee for the Democratization of Information Technology (CDI). In all, 50 Brazilian organizations received the award.


The Efficiency Prize, organized by the consulting firm Kanitz & Associados, is awarded to recognize and raise the exposure of non-profit organizations that demonstrate competence, strong performance and seriousness, operat-ing with low costs, transparency and external supervision.  The award ceremony took place on May 2, in São Paulo.
