Project in Argentina Trains 600 Youth

On December 17, 2003, the DESAFÍO (challenge) project, an initiative of the Community Organization Foundation with the support of the Kellogg Foundation, provided training for 600 youngsters from the district of Lomas de Zamora, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This education project seeks to enable them to benefit from public policy and help them find their first job. Its strategy is underpinned by a system of social inclusion based on intersectoral partnerships between government, civil society, and the business community.

The DESAFÍO (challenge) project aims to make itself part of the municipality’s public policy and train 3,200 youth protagonists between the ages of 14 and 24 by the end of 2004.
