New audio series puts New Orleans youth at the center of change

“Voices of I Am New Orleans” debuts with student-led solutions on food access

A new audio series from the I Am New Orleans initiative is giving young leaders the mic — starting with students working to make healthy, affordable food more accessible on college campuses.

Episode 1, “Your Lived Experience is Enough,  spotlights Xavier University students in the Food, Advocacy, Training, and Education (FATE) program and their partnership with the New Orleans Food Policy Action Council. Together, they’re pushing for a fairer food system across the city.

Produced with Be Loud Studios, the series features WKKF grantees and youth leaders working on real solutions for a more equitable New Orleans.
