Cultivating Skills, Coalescing Change

Apply Now for WKKF’s Community Leadership Network

We are living in a time of great uncertainty, but also great opportunity for community-driven innovation. That’s why we are excited to share that applications are now open for our fourth class of Community Leadership Network fellows. The W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) Community Leadership Network aims to catalyze collective energy to meet the needs of this moment by launching class four of its innovative fellowship program. Designed to equip leaders engaged locally or nationally with the skills and connections they need to lead collaborative and transformational change, the program galvanizes those working to improve well-being for all children, families and communities.

“When we invest in community-rooted leadership, we help people see their shared struggles and common hopes,” said La June Montgomery Tabron, WKKF president and CEO. “That understanding gives rise to powerful, unexpected alliances and broad coalitions advocating for children and families. This fellowship helps build the leadership infrastructure – in local communities and nationally – that promotes lasting change for generations to come.”

The program is supported by the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), which leverages more than 50 years of leadership development experience to positively transform the way leaders and organizations confront the challenges of our time.

“We are honored to partner with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to develop leaders who understand that creating conditions for children to thrive requires collaborative community approaches,” said Martin Schneider, CCL president and CEO. “This fellowship provides leaders with the resources and connections to navigate differences and bring people together.”

The fellowship offers hands-on leadership development, personalized coaching, peer networking and practical experience. Throughout the 18-month program, fellows gain critical knowledge and skills to navigate today’s challenges and tools to help communities heal and transform systems so they work for everyone.

Eighty inspiring and diverse leaders – from the Foundation’s priority places of Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico and New Orleans, and in Tribal nations and communities across the country — will be accepted into the program, focusing on leadership self-mastery, racial equity and healing, community engagement and leading in place.

Join us on our mission to create a fair and equitable world for all children and families.
