HomeTown Competitiveness (HTC) recently added the Nebraska communities of McCook and Columbus to its roster of rural community sustainability projects. Both towns have started Phase I work, and are working with HTC to determine how they can best create a framework for their futures. The HomeTown Competitiveness Collaboration was awarded a 75th Anniversary Entrepreneurship Development Systems (EDS) grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in 2005. HomeTown Competitiveness, based in Lincoln, Nebraska, helps rural communities identify reachable goals and strategies for reversing rural decline. To learn more about HTC visit www.htcnebraska.org.
