In early 2021, WKKF will be upgrading and streamlining our systems to better serve grantees, grantseekers and vendors. Our goal is to strengthen relationships with grantees and partners in the communities we serve — and to demonstrate our commitment to transparency, responsiveness and thoughtfulness as we work together to support thriving children, working families and equitable communities.
In the new system, all WKKF grantees, grantseekers and vendors will have access to an online portal to easily view the status of proposals, contracts and payments, as well as communicate directly with foundation staff. The technical capacity of this upgraded system is an important part of our steady adaptation in service to our work on behalf of children.
Throughout the transition, we will share information about timing and what to expect to make it easier for grantseekers, grantees, partners and vendors to plan.
What the upgrade means for you
This new system goes live on Mar. 15, 2021. There will be a brief pause in our ability to accept and develop grant proposals or issue payments in February and early March.
Are you thinking of applying for funding? We encourage you to plan the timing of your proposals around our system transition. If you would like to submit an application before the system pause, we encourage you to do so by the end of the business day on Jan. 22, 2021. We commit to providing you with a response by Feb. 5, 2021. If you are not able to submit an application by Jan. 22, your next opportunity will be Mar. 15 when we will resume our practice of accepting applications at any time.
Are you currently a grantee? You’ll be receiving a series of emails about how to use our new portal, including an invitation to register on Mar. 15, 2021. If you have reports or payments due before March 15, you will hear from your WKKF programming team about how to navigate our system upgrade.
Are you a vendor with an active WKKF contract? Please continue submitting your invoices to email@example.com. While we will not be issuing payments during the last 3 weeks in February (Feb. 8 – 26), we anticipate being able to honor our commitment to provide prompt payments (net 30). You will also receive a series of emails about how to use our new portal, including an invitation to register on Mar. 15.
