Digital Content Marketing Officer at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation is responsible for creating, implementing, supporting, and partnering to develop and execute various digital strategies and content marketing plans across the foundation’s internal and external digital ecosystem. This includes collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to design, plan, launch and manage short to long-term campaigns, projects and digital solutions; cultivating social influencer relationships; managing the foundation’s reputation and brand online; and promoting opportunities for affecting positive systemic change within communities.

The Digital Content Marketing Officer at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation will be a hands-on, creative force expanding the digital presence of the foundation, generating, and transforming innovative ideas into impactful strategies across our digital ecosystem. This role requires a proactive, visionary thinker who can seamlessly blend creativity with strategic execution, collaborating with a diverse array of stakeholders to design, launch, and manage groundbreaking digital campaigns and solutions centered on thriving children, working families and equitable communities.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, marketing, communications, journalism, English or other field relevant to assigned area is required; master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum five years related work experience developing innovative content marketing strategies and campaigns with a strong focus on digital marketing with at least 3 years in a strategic management role responsible for the creation and management of objective-focused communications content (for both internal/employee-focused and external audiences) for online, social, and traditional media and related project management required. Preference for significant relevant work experience (8-12+ years) with strong networks and contacts.
  • Ability to work effectively with persons from diverse cultural, social, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Foundation or nonprofit experienced preferred, but not required.

Additional Info

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with evidence of proficiency in writing (to include short analytic communications, interviewing and listening, narrative/storytelling in a range of forms, media outreach).
  • Strong real-time analytic capabilities in all phases of communication work (related to audience analysis, understanding context, connecting relevant information, message development, assessing results, debriefing and adaptation).
  • Effective and collaborative interpersonal skills to work with staff at all levels of the organization and with a range of external stakeholders.
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills, including strategic curiosity, the ability to pose questions and the tenacity to find answers.
  • Strong, demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including social intelligence, the discipline to work independently and to flexibly step into team roles as needed – as leaders, partners, or project managers.
  • Willingness to adapt and a deep desire to learn.

The salary range for this position is $124,300 – $170,900. The actual starting salary of candidate will be commensurate with years, breadth, and depth of relevant experience, education, certifications, credentials, special skills, accomplishments, and other factors relevant to the position.
