Michigan philanthropy loses a great leader

C. David Campbell, longtime president, CEO and trustee of the McGregor Fund passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 from pancreatic cancer. Dave was a champion for Michigan and for Detroit, serving families and children most in need throughout his tenure at the McGregor Fund and nonprofit service in Detroit.

It is with great sadness and true admiration of his long-standing commitment to helping others that the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) shares its condolences with the Campbell family, our friends at the McGregor Fund and all our Detroit nonprofit partners. “We have lost a great leader this week. Dave Campbell was a champion of change and a true servant leader. Throughout our years of working together in philanthropy and on behalf of children and families in Detroit, I so often admired his great dedication, commitment and service. His values made us all better,” commented WKKF president and CEO La June Montgomery Tabron.
