Thank you for considering the W.K. Kellogg Foundation as a partner in your work. We believe it is important to walk alongside prospective grantees to accomplish goals of mutual interest and we are very interested in reviewing new and innovative ideas aimed at helping vulnerable children succeed. We intentionally place vulnerable children and their families at the center of everything we do and we want the organizations and policies we support to surround them with integrated programs that address the comprehensive needs of children, their families and communities.
Our website provides information regarding our programming framework for educated kids, healthy kids, secure families, racial equity, and civic engagement. If you believe your idea fits within this framework, please use our online application, which is how all requests for funding must be submitted.
The Kellogg Foundation does not have any submission deadlines. Grant applications are accepted throughout the year and are reviewed at our headquarters in Battle Creek, Michigan, or in our regional office in Mexico (for submissions focused within their region).
In general, we do not provide funding for operational phases of established programs, capital requests (which includes the construction, purchase, renovation, and/or furnishing of facilities), equipment, conferences and workshops, films, television and/or radio programs, endowments, development campaigns, or research/studies unless they are an integral part of a larger program budget being considered for funding.
To be eligible for support, your organization or institution, as well as the purpose of the proposed project, must qualify under regulations of the United States Internal Revenue Service. As a result, we are not able to provide funding directly to individuals.
As you might expect, we receive more requests each year than we are able to fund with our limited resources. As a result, we are not able to fund ideas that do not fit within our current programming framework and guidelines.
It has come to our attention that some companies are falsely claiming the ability to acquire grants for businesses from the foundation. The foundation does not work with third parties in providing grants and in no way endorses these actions. The foundation offers grants only for charitable purposes and does not charge for the grant application process or for awarding a grant.
