Program Officer for Family Economic Security and Expanding
Equity assigned to Battle Creek, MI (headquarters)/Hybrid option
Provide overall leadership in broadening and strengthening the foundation’s partnerships with the private sector to expand economic opportunity for working families, including scaling the Expanding Equity program and growing its network of companies and leaders. Program officers at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation are responsible for identifying and nurturing opportunities for affecting positive systemic change within communities and executing programming efforts that are aligned with the organizational direction.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years work experience in field relevant to assigned responsibilities with strong networks and contacts.
- Experience developing DEI strategies, partnerships, and initiatives in the private sector; additional experience with HR functions, policies and processes.
- Comprehensive understanding of program design and policy, systems, and community change.
- Familiarity and experience with sales and client services, and strong marketing and digital skills.
- Ability to work effectively with persons from diverse cultural, social, and ethnic backgrounds.
Additional Info
- Develop portfolio: Oversee the Expanding Equity program’s managing partner and related partnerships and recommend any new investment opportunities.
- Manage partnerships: Support DEI leaders in the Expanding Equity network who are designing and implementing DEI initiatives at their companies.
- Drive expansion: Help to develop a strategy for reaching and serving more companies leading DEI initiatives.
- Expand influence: Contribute to the foundation’s efforts to shape the national dialogue around racial equity, DEI, and corporate leadership.
Salary Information
The salary range is $128,800 – $177,200. Actual starting salary of candidate will be commensurate with years, breadth, and depth of relevant experience, education, certifications, credentials, special skills, accomplishments and other factors relevant to the position.
